Your Monday night viewing slate

Welcome to one of the best times of the year, as the NFL, NBA, NHL are all in full swing, while college basketball starts up tomorrow. Each day, I will let you know exactly what you need to be watching and why you need to be watching it.

Tonight has three of the major sports in action, as the NFL, NBA, and NHL continue their regular seasons.

Here are the three games you need to watch tonight:

Monday Night Football - Dallas Cowboys (-7) @ New York Giants 8:20 P.M. EST

When I say football will always be what is on the main screen and the most important thing on that night, I think everyone generally agrees with that. Even when the game may not be the best matchup, football is football. The Cowboys are coming off an important win against the Philadelphia Eagles and a bye week, while the New York football Giants have lost four in a row. This will be the first time Dak Prescott will be facing off against Daniel Jones, as the two are expected to play against each other for years to come.

Oh, also Booger McFarland is still calling football games. His commentary without the football is funny enough.

NBA - Philadelphia 76ers (+1.5) @ Phoenix Suns 9:00 P.M. EST

Ladies and gentlemen, what you are about to read is correct. I had to fact check it myself a couple of times because I did not fully believe it. Not only are the Phoenix Suns the current six seed in the Western Conference, but they are home favorites to an undefeated - and most likely the best team in the Eastern Conference - Philadelphia 76er team. Part of this may be because of Joel Embiid's suspension, but the 76ers should have a good enough squad without him. Right? The Suns only had five home games in which they were favorites last year, going 2-3 ATS and 2-2 straight up.

NHL - Pittsburgh Penguins (+1.5) @ Boston Bruins 7:00 P.M. EST

Sidney Crosby and the Penguins travel to face defending Eastern Conference champions, the Boston Bruins. On a five game win streak, the Bruins have been on fire, picking up at least a point in seven straight games. The Penguins have been off to a slower start, but doubting Sidney Crosby and what he is able to do is still a terrible idea. Yes, it is only regular season hockey, but these type of games can always have some what of playoff atmosphere, especially in an arena like the TD Garden.
