Why Russell Wilson should walk from the Seattle Seahawks and sign for the New York Giants

Russell Wilson has given the Seattle Seahawks a deadline of April 15 to extend his four year $87.6 million contract. He has one year remaining on the contract and contract talks between Wilson and the Seahawks have been “more active”.
Russell, please take my advice. Ditch the Seahawks and head to the east coast to play for the New York Football Giants. Why you may ask? Here is why.
You have already won a Super Bowl for the Seahawks
Winning a Super Bowl is the ultimate goal when you join a franchise. You already did that in 2013. You do not owe the Seahawks anymore. Sure, the famous throw on the one yard line hurts, but that was way back in the 2014 season. You have made the playoffs in three out of the four years after that Super Bowl appearance, never making it past the Divisional Round. Seattle has taken you as far as you possibly can go.
Money, money, money
New York is willing to pay Eli Manning a decent amount of money. What do you think they are going to pay you? Answer: A lot. Currently, Wilson is the 13th highest paid quarterback and is making the same amount as Eli Manning. That is absurd. The Giants will be willing to pay Wilson so they finally have a good quarterback. Wilson is a top ten and arguably top five QB in the league and deserves to be paid like one.
The Giants are going to be a young, good team soon
With four first round picks in the 2019 and 2020 draft, the Giants can easily reload their offense to help out Wilson. If the Giants can draft and build a strong defense, that will be enough to turn them into an instant Super Bowl contender with Wilson. Saquon Barkley will still be on the roster and be rock solid for the passing game. Wilson has proven he can win on the offensive side with minimal weapons. In 2013 and 2014, his leading receiver was Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin. Neither had more than 900 yards. Give Wilson a good running back(Barkley), a decent set of weapons, and draft up the defense for the next two years, and the Giants will become instant Super Bowl contenders.
The NFC East is suspect right now
Arguably the weakest division in football right now, Wilson could come into the division and win it immediately. The Washington Redskins continue to be a dumpster fire and will probably continue to be a dumpster fire by 2020. Prescott, Elliot, Cooper, and Lawrence will be free agents after the 2019 offseason and even with them, people question the Cowboys as serious NFC contenders. Carson Wentz and the Eagles may still be a question mark. The Eagles have proven they are a better team with Nick Foles and now that he is gone, how will Wentz perform? On top of all of this, no team has won the NFC East back to back since the Eagles did it in 2003 and 2004. Going worst to first has also happened six times since the East changed to four teams in 2002. It would not be unheard of to turn the Giants into NFC East Champs in one year.
Russell Wilson can not only go get paid and play on a young, exciting roster, but he could become a legend in New York. Nothing beats that. Lead the New York Giants to glory and you will become immortal. See Eli Manning. Go to the Giants, win the NFC East, win a couple playoff games, and you will forever be loved in New York.
