Marquette vs Seton Hall 6:30 PM EST FS1
Marquette travels to Seton Hall tonight for a huge Big East showdown. Currently ranked #16 in the country, Marquette’s tournament spot is already locked up. They are playing for a little bit more than that though. They still have a shot at the Big East regular season title as they would have the same conference record as Villanova with a win. Their offense is the strength of the team, scoring nearly 78 a game this season. Seton Hall is one of the last four teams in the tournament according to Joe Lunardi and a win vs Marquette would really boost the resume. While they are an okay home team, Seton Hall kept the game close in Marquette. Myles Powell dropped 21 and the Pirates had three others in double scoring figures. They are going to have to do something similar to pull of the upset tonight. This may not be the old Big East and it’s excitement, but these kinds of matchups are what make the conference still one of the best in the country.
LSU vs Florida 7 PM EST ESPN2
The Tigers seek revenge in Gainesville tonight against the Gators. LSU lost 82-77 in overtime at home against the Gators back on February 20 and need to win tonight. Tennessee will virtually win the SEC with an LSU loss tonight. Tremont Water is an absolute baller for LSU and one of the most underrated point guards in the country. He can score and dish the ball out with ease. Naz Reid controls the paint for the Tigers and averages 7 rebounds a game. LSU has not lost on the road in conference play this year and is playing against a 9-4 home Florida team that only allows 65 a game. After a terrible home loss against rivals Georgia, they need to bounce back and get on the right track. With not than many big times games planned for the final day in the SEC, this is one of the last good games in the conference.
