Tennessee vs Ole Miss 7 PM EST SECN

The struggling Volunteers travel to Oxford to face the Rebels. Tennessee has lost two out of their last three in the SEC to Kentucky and LSU. Both ranked opponents and tied with Tennessee in the SEC. Ole Miss has an impressive 10-3 home record and will be looking to play an upset card tonight. Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams are two of the best players in the country but have to come up big the rest of the year, starting tonight. With a game against Kentucky this weekend, Tennessee needs to get back on track and win in Oxford tonight.

Texas vs Baylor 9 PM EST ESPN2

Everyone is talking about Kansas and how they still have a chance in the Big 12 championship race. Baylor has quietly been doing well in the conference and with a win today, they will be tied with Kansas in the standings. Texas is an awful 2-6 on the road and Baylor should be looking to take advantage of that tonight. Holding opponents to under 63 points a game at home this year, the Bears will need to play better than the first time these two teams met, which resulted in a 84-72 win for Texas. Baylor will not only be looking to split the series, but stay alive in earning a share in the Big 12 regular season championship.

Pelicans vs Lakers 10:30 PM EST ESPN

This could possibly be an awkward game in Los Angeles tonight. The Lakers allegedly pushed hard for Anthony Davis before the trade deadline and came up short. The Staples Center crowd will bring a warm environment for Davis to show him what LA can offer. As for on the court, the Lakers are two games under .500 and need to start winning fast. LeBron said he was going into “playoff mode”, but his effort has been questionable the past couple games. The Pelicans beat the Lakers five days ago and it cannot happen again tonight. The last time LeBron missed the playoffs in the 2004-2005 season, the Seattle SuperSonics were still a NBA franchise. LeBron and his young team needs to step and get a win tonight at home against the poor Pelicans.
