For someone that is 2-2 against Texas, Baker Mayfield talks a lot of shit

Baker Mayfield went to Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. Lake Travis is one of the best schools in the entire state and usually a place the University of Texas recruits out of. The Longhorns did no such thing when it came to Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield eventually ended up at hated rival University of Oklahoma after transferring from Texas Tech. Baker has gone out of his way time and time again to tell everyone how much he hates the Longhorns.

Even more recently, he came after current Texas QB Sam Ehlinger.

This continuous talk about Texas and how much he hates them or how Oklahoma does not lose to Texas.

Baker needs to remember that he went .500 against Texas in his collegiate career. Yes, he has the advantage in the Red River Shootout going 2-1, but he got spanked by the Horns 41-16 while at Texas Tech.

Baker never played his best against the Longhorns either. He threw six touchdowns and four interceptions in four games. To his credit, he got better and better each time playing the Horns, but one would think Lincoln Riley had something to do with that.

As for going after Sam Ehlinger, Sam has the opportunity to match the number of Golden Hats Baker has this year. Ehlinger is currently 1-1 against the Sooners in the Cotton Bowl and has a really good chance at besting Baker by going 3-1. Looking past the RRSO, Sam has proven that he can handle the strength and get past a top tier SEC by beating UGA in the Sugar Bowl.

If someone could remind me how Baker did against those same Georgia Bulldogs, that would be great.

This is what makes this rivalry so much fun. Both sets of teams are playing well and have rosters full of kids that played against each other in high school. The Big 12 game of the year is getting juicer and juicer.
